My friends call me BK though sadly I have no association to the King. My approach can be summed up by the famous Jim Riswold quote, "Start everyday stupid."
To me, there’s always been something smart about stupid. It keeps me curious to learn new things. To have an open mind. And to never lose my midwest humility. 
It also informs how I think about the work. 
Because good advertising is never all that complicated. It’s about feelings. Like when you ugly cry at your desk. Or snort laugh with your friends. Or when something hits you in a way that you can’t quite put into words, but somehow still makes perfect sense. There’s a universal language that good brand storytelling always speaks regardless of channel or tool. It never works too hard at sounding smart. It just is. And when you think about it, that’s the stuff that makes this business profoundly - and hilariously - stupid.
